Friday, May 4, 2007 I am happy. Haha. Finished my last paper on wed. Went for leaders' mtg. First pastor julie shared about her experience with her son. Was very touched when she said she cried when she couldnt hug chris before he went into camp. Such a mother's love... what more a Father's love for us. God just wants to hug us every day, speak to us, hear us talk to Him... He misses us. Then pastor eugene shared about the 100 000 challenge, all the numerical things he discovered, the prayer by pastor jeffrey, and sharing by pastor rol. I was... amazed, shaken and moved. Amazed at how God planned the things, beyond our understanding. Shaken by the movement of God, awaken for a time such as this. Moved in the spirit, i need to respond. God is pointing straight at my heart. It's not about the structure of the church, not the movement we are going into, not the things we need to do. Yes, all these are important. But if i allow myself to be too overconcerned with all these, i have missed the point. The only thing is God and the only thing He looks at is my heart. After reading ps rol's email on reading, i started reading a woman aft God's own heart. (yes, da ge, my birthday present in 2005.. HAHA, i havent read. opps) And exactly, God spoke again. To be a person aft God's own heart, we need a heart devoted to God. There's only one thing needed. Luke 10:38-42, it is important to cease all the busyness, stop all activities and set aside everything in order to focus wholly on the Lord. Not to be busy doing things for the Lord, but to spend time with the Lord. So the book mentioned 3 things we need to do to be devoted to God. 1) Choose God's way at every opportunity. Prov 3:6, "In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight." Our work is to stop and acknowledge God along the way, to seek Him and to spend time with Him. His part is to direct us. I'm praying for Isa 30:21 "Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, 'This is the way, walk in it'" So cool right! Imagine being able to hear God as clearly like that. =) Choose His ways! Always moving from good, better to best choice for Him. And to stand in awe of Him. "Reverance for God is a must for people after God's heart!" Back to the topic on the fear of the Lord. Fear of not hearing Him, fear of sin and unholiness, fear of missing out on His best. 2)Commit yourself to God daily. Place everything we have in the hands of the loving Father. "God is ready to assume full responsibility for the life wholly yielded to Him." Exactly the thing God spoke to me on wed night. Can i give up all that i am in order to receive all that i can become? My family, my ministry, my talents, my abilities, my achievements, my heart.... 3)Cultivate a hot heart. From the book: To be cold-hearted means to be decidedly below normal, unemotional, unaware, unconcious of God. Imagine being unemotional about the things of God! Then lukewarm heart, is to be indifferent. Imagine being indifferent toward God! Hot-where we want to be, violent activity (who say fcbc has alot of things to do.. haha), or passion, fiery, excited, to be commited to God! Rev 3:15-16, God wil spit us out of His mouth if we are lukewarm. So i cant be lukewarm, just doing bits of my duty, obeying blindly... i need to be hot, like a boiling pot, intense passion for God, that ppl around will catch that heat. =) Labels: Christ in me -The Princess Jesus Loves- 5:51 PM
